The Way Our Family Celebrates
New Year’s Eve.

Hello, I’m Matvey.
I am 12 years old and I live in the beautiful city of Sevastopol. Now I’m going
to tell you how our family celebrates New Year’s Eve.
In Russia we begin to celebrate New Year’s Day on
December 31(New Year’s Eve) and continue on January 1. We have a lot of free
time on winter holidays.
Before New Year’s Day our family
makes some preparations. Dad does shopping. Mum makes some special dishes.
Grandma makes toffee apples and banana pie. As for me, I make decorations in
our flat.
