EASTER EGGS

Easter Egg decoration has been inherited over each generation of Ukraine. It is now famous all over the world as a colorful Easter egg which appears at Easter now.
The Ukrainian Easter egg is called Pysanka (=singular number) or Pysanky (= plurality) in Ukraine language.
People believed "Big power exists in an egg", and had stuck and ornamented the color and the picture a long time ago before Christ appears of 2000 or more at the egg.

For the people of those days, the egg released the earth from long restraint of winter, and symbolized the starting of spring which promises a new hope, a new life, and prosperity.
In the present age, Easter egg is mainly exchanged as an intimate friend and a present, or is used as a decoration.

If pysanka is a simplest design, the work is completed in 2 - 3 hours by the wax-resist processing method (how to stick bees wax to an egg using stylus (referred to as kistka), and to dip an egg in dye of various colors) told from ancient times.

In Ukraine on Easter holidays while you enjoy Sunday meal, kids will surely involve you in their favorite Easter game: knocking the eggs – if you knock somebody’s egg and your egg is not broken – you are the winner.

Hi Ukraine people,
I love how you guys decorate the eggs on Easter Day they look very beautiful and nice I would like to learn how to decorate the eggs as yours one day. I didn't know that eggs had stories behind them from different cultures that is really cool to know about. Also I would love to play the game where you knock each other eggs off and then if yours doesn't break then you are the winner that sounds like a fun game to play I would like to try that too. Well when it is Easter Day here I boiled some eggs then crack it on my sisters, cousin, and family heads just for the fun of it. It is really fun to but can sometimes hurt a lot. Do you guys hunt for eggs to? I was wondering these because a lot of people hunt for eggs and also we do too.
Is dying the eggs fun to do? I was thinking from those pictures of the eggs will be a fun thing to do because it has so many design and colors.

Hello,
Thanks for the reply and interest.
In fact, making Easter eggs is not a difficult thing, but it takes time to learn.
This year we just used special stickers for eggs in our family.
We don't have a tradition of egg hunt, but many children really like doing it.

Those Eggs look beutifull because of the colors and the designs. But what are the eggs made of are they real egg shels or some other material like clay? The game that you talked about sounds interesting and I would love to learn how to play. What my family does is whe hunt for eggs that have candy inside ,and some have money in them too. My favorite part is when we crack confetti eggs on my family and friends.
